Legal

Privacy, in plain language.

This is the policy we actually operate by, written to be read. The short version: for direct transfers we never see your files, and everything else we keep is listed below — with how long we keep it.

The short version

Who is responsible for your data

Blixt, the operator of blixt.pro, is the data controller for the personal data described here. Questions about this policy or your data: hello@blixt.pro.

What we store, and why

Your account

When you create an account, our identity service (Keycloak, at id.blixt.pro) stores your email address, your name, and your sign-in credentials. Signing in with Google is optional; if you use it, Google tells us your name and email address — we receive nothing else from your Google account.

Billing

Payments run through Stripe. Your card number goes to Stripe, not to us — we never see it and we never store it. We keep only what a subscription needs: which plan you are on and its status. Stripe’s handling of your payment data is governed by Stripe’s own privacy policy.

Connection logs

To match peers and keep the service healthy, our signaling server logs connection metadata — IP addresses, timestamps, room lifetimes. These logs are kept for roughly 90 days and then deleted. When you delete your account, its logs are erased with it. The logs never contain the content of your files.

bCloud files

Files you upload to bCloud are stored on our storage until you delete them — that is the point of bCloud. Share links are optional, and each one can carry a password, an expiry date, and a download limit. bCloud is opt-in: if you never use it, we never store a file for you.

Waitlists and the newsletter

If you join the mobile waitlist or the newsletter, we store your email address for that purpose and nothing else. We keep it until you unsubscribe — for now that is an email to hello@blixt.pro, and we will remove you promptly.

What we never store

Analytics and cookies

We run no third-party analytics today and no advertising trackers. Cookies are limited to what signing in requires — session cookies only. That is why you do not see a cookie banner.

Your controls

You can delete your account at any time. Deletion removes your account data, erases your connection logs, and deletes your bCloud files. If you want a copy of what we hold about you, or anything here is unclear, email hello@blixt.pro.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date below. For meaningful changes, we will notify account holders by email before they take effect.

This policy is deliberately written in plain language — the readable version you just read is the version that applies. Last updated 2026-07-29.
